The Village of Barneveld is in the eastern part of the town on Route 365.
The current Mayor is William J. Hinge. The village was originally called Oldenbarneveldt ( a Dutch statesman) by Gerrit Boon, an agent of the Holland Land Company. Barneveld is located at 431627N, 751119W (43.274087, -75.188710)GR1.
